Samsung KME (Knox Mobile Enrollment)

You can enroll your Samsung devices into Quantem MDM from your KME portal by following the below steps.

Profile Creation 

1. From the KME portal, select Profiles from the left-hand navigation menu. The screen as shown below will be displayed.

2. On the Profiles screen, select the CREATE PROFILE button from the top, right-hand side. A new window will popup as shown below.

Profile Configuration 

1. Choose the ANDROID ENTERPRISE profile type. A new window will appear as shown below to set the profile details.

2. Specify a Profile Name and, optionally, add a Description.

3. On the Pick your MDM dropdown, select Other.

4. In the MDM Agent APK, enter the following value: https://play.google.com/managed/downloadManagingApp?identifier=setup 

5. Leave the other fields empty, then click on Continue button.

6. The screen as shown below will be displayed.

Profile Settings 

1. On the Custom JSON Data field, copy and paste the following code:

2. Replace the ENROLLMENT_TOKEN field with the token generated in Quantem MDM for the enrollment type you wish to create.

3. On the Device Settings part, choose whether you want to leave system apps enabled or not.

4. Specify a Company Name on the dedicated input field.

5. Click CREATE button.

Configure Devices

1. From the KME portal, select Devices from the left-hand navigation menu. The screen as shown below will be displayed.

2. Select one or more devices for which the profile has to be applied and click on the 'Actions' button on the top right corner. Click on the 'Configure devices' option in the dropdown as shown below.

3. A Configure Devices slider window as shown below will be displayed.

4. Select the desired profile from the 'Profile' dropdown field and click on the SAVE button.

5. The profile will be assigned to the selected device(s) and the STATUS of the device will be changed to 'Profile assigned'.

KME enrollment for Fully managed devices

Samsung KME enrollment for fully managed devices can be done using the steps given below.

1. Login using your credentials into the Quantem MDM admin console.

2. Click on the Enrollment > Android icon on the left menu.

3. The Enrollment screen will be displayed with multiple tabs.

4. Click on the Samsung KME tab and select the Fully Managed option. The screen as shown below will be displayed.

5. A group dropdown with all the available groups will be displayed.

6. Select the group from the dropdown for which the enrollment should be done.

7. A second dropdown with the available users for the selected group will be displayed.

8. Select the user to whom the device needs to be assigned and click the Generate JSON button.

9. A JSON code with the enrollment token will be generated and displayed on the screen as shown below. 

10. Copy the JSON and paste it in the profile creation screen of KME portal as explained above.

11. Factory reset your device and do the enrollment by selecting the options as required in the setup screens of the device.

KME enrollment for Kiosk

Samsung KME enrollment for Kiosks can be done using the steps given below.

1. Login using your credentials into the Quantem MDM admin console.

2. Click on the Enrollment > Android icon on the left menu.

3. The Enrollment screen will be displayed with multiple tabs.

4. Click on the Samsung KME tab and select the Kiosk option. 

5. A Kiosk group dropdown with all the available groups will be displayed.

6. Select the Kiosk group from the dropdown for which the enrollment should be done and click on the Generate JSON button.

7. A JSON code with the enrollment token will be generated and displayed on the screen as shown below. 

8. Copy the JSON and paste it in the profile creation screen of KME portal as explained above.

9. Factory reset your device and do the enrollment by selecting the options as required in the setup screens of the device.
