The Enrollment module of the admin console is used to enroll the devices using various enrollment methods like 6 Tap, BYOD, Zero touch, Samsung KME. Under 6 Tap method, we can enroll devices as Fully managed device or Kiosk device. BYOD method is used to enroll employee’s personal devices.


Kiosk enrollment - 6 Tap method

Kiosk enrollment method is designed for company-owned devices that achieve a single use case such as digital signage, ticket printing or inventory management. Kiosk allows IT admins to lock down the usage of a device to a single app or small set of apps. IT admins can prevent other apps from starting and prevent other actions performed on the device.


Kiosk enrollment can be done using the steps given below.


1. Click on the Enrollment > Android icon on the left menu.


2. The Enrollment screen will be displayed with multiple tabs.


3. Click on the 6 Tap tab and select the Kiosk option. The screen as shown below will be displayed.



4. A Kiosk group dropdown with all the available groups will be displayed.


5. Select the Kiosk group from the dropdown for which the enrollment should be done and click on the Generate QR code button.


6. A QR code will be generated and displayed on the screen as shown below.


7. Factory reset your device, tap 6 times anywhere on welcome screen of device.


8. Once the QR scanner opens on the device, scan the QR Code generated on the screen.


9. Alternatively, enrollment can be done by sending the QR code in an email. Enter the email and by clicking the 'Send' button will send the same QR code to the email. 


10. The enrollment process will start in the device and will follow a sequence of steps and asks for permissions as shown below.

 

 

11. If asked, enter the 6-digit OTP displayed on the screen during the enrollment in the device as shown below.


 

12. Once all the permissions are provided and enrollment process is successfully completed in the device, the device details will appear under Manage – Device screen with enrolled status.


Fully managed enrollment - 6 Tap method

The fully managed device enrollment method is intended for company-owned devices. Fully managed enrollment gives IT admins management of an extended range of device settings and extra policy controls over the device.


Fully managed enrollment can be done using the steps given below.


1. Click on the Enrollment > Android icon on the left menu.


2. The Enrollment screen will be displayed with multiple tabs.


3. Click on the 6 Tap tab and select the Fully managed option. The screen as shown below will be displayed.


4. A group dropdown with all the available groups will be displayed.


5. Select the group from the dropdown for which the enrollment should be done.


6. A second dropdown with the available users for the selected group will be displayed.


7. Select the user to whom the device needs to be assigned and click the Generate QR code button.


8. A QR code will be generated and displayed on the screen as shown below.


9. Factory reset your device, tap 6 times anywhere on welcome screen of device.


10. Once the QR scanner opens on the device, scan the QR Code generated on the screen.


11. Alternatively, enrollment can be done by sending the QR code in an email.

12. The enrollment process will start in the device and will follow a sequence of steps and asks for permissions similar to the device screen shots shown above for Kiosk enrollment.


13.  If asked, enter the 6-digit OTP displayed on the screen during the enrollment in the device as shown below. 


14. Once all the permissions are provided and enrollment process is successfully completed in the device, the device details will appear under Manage – Device screen with enrolled status.


BYOD enrollment

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is an IT policy that allows employees in an organization to use their personally owned devices for work-related activities. BYOD devices have containers for a personal profile that the employee completely controls, and a secure, vaulted work profile that IT admin can control with tool like Quantem MDM.


BYOD enrollment can be done using the steps given below.


1. Click on the Enrollment > Android icon on the left menu.


2. The Enrollment screen as shown below will be displayed with multiple tabs.


3. Click on the BYOD tab. The screen as shown below will be displayed.



4. A group dropdown with all the available groups will be displayed.


5. Select the group from the dropdown for which the enrollment should be done.


6. A second dropdown with the available users for the selected group will be displayed.


7. Select the user to whom the Work profile needs to be created and click the Generate QR code button.


8. A QR code will be generated and displayed on the screen as shown below.



9. Go to Device's Settings > Google > Set up & restore > Set up your work profile > Next


10. The QR scanner will be opened.


11. Scan the QR Code generated in the console screen or received in the registered Email id.


12. Alternatively, enrollment can be done by sending the QR code in an email. Enter the email and by clicking the 'Send' button will send the same QR code to the email. 


13. The enrollment process will start in the device and will follow a sequence of steps and asks for permissions as shown below.

 15. Once all the permissions are provided and enrollment process is successfully completed in the device, the device details will appear under Manage – Device screen with enrolled status.
