Kiosk

The Kiosk module of the admin console consists of functionalities such as display the list of available kiosks, create kiosk, view/edit kiosk details, assign kiosk to group, enroll device and delete kiosk.


Display the available kiosks

1. Click on the Kiosk icon on the left menu.


2. The available kiosks will be displayed in table view format as shown below with details like Kiosk name, Launcher, Kiosk type(Use), Group count, Device count, Created on, Created by and Updated by.


3. The Kiosk List screen contains the following functionalities:

  • Create kiosk – a new kiosk can be created.
  • Export – The available kiosk details can be exported as an Excel file.
  • Context Menu - A context menu will be displayed which has sub-menus like View/edit kiosk, Enroll device, Assign kiosk to group and Delete kiosk.
  • Column chooser - The list of columns to appear in the table view can be enabled/disabled.
  • Pagination – If the no. of kiosks is large and exceeds the page, pagination will appear at the bottom using which previous / Next kiosk list can be viewed.
  • Items per page can be set by selecting the desired no. from the dropdown at the bottom. By default, the number of rows per page is set as 10.


Create kiosk

A new kiosk can be created using the steps given below.


1. Click on the Create kiosk icon on the top of the Kiosk List screen.


2. Create kiosk screen will be displayed as shown below.


3. Enter values for the below mentioned fields:

  • Kiosk name – Name of the new kiosk to be created (Mandatory)
  • Platform – The platform for which the kiosk is created (Mandatory)
  • Description – A brief description about the new kiosk (Optional)


4. Select the Device mode option - Single app or Multi app.

 

5. The user has to select the app from the 'Select app' dropdown and click on the Add button, the selected apps will be displayed in the bottom of the screen under 'Selected apps' section.


6. Repeat the step 5 to add the required list of apps.


7. If the Device mode is selected as Single app, choose the app from the dropdown which has to appear as Kiosk system launcher.


8. Click the Next button in the top, the settings screen will be displayed  with multiple sections like Kiosk settings, Security settings, Sound settings, Display settings, Policy settings, Browser home screen and Secure browser as shown below. 



9. Select the required values for various settings in the form of toggle button or checkbox or dropdown as shown in the screen below.


10. After entering/selecting the values for the settings, click the Save & exit  or Save & assign button at the top right corner of the screen.


11. When Save & exit  option is selected, a new kiosk will be created with a success toast message and added in the kiosk list screen.


12. When Save & assign option is selected, Assign group screen as shown below will be displayed with the list of available groups.


13. Select one or more groups from the list to which the created kiosk can be assigned.

 

14. Click the Assign button will assign the new kiosk to the selected groups. The newly added kiosk will be displayed in the Kiosk List view screen.


View/Edit Kiosk details

The details of an individual kiosk can be viewed/edited using the below steps. 


1. From the Kiosk List view screen, click on the three vertical dots at the end of the kiosk row. 


2. A context menu will be displayed, select the 'View/edit details' option.


3. The existing details of the selected kiosk will be displayed as shown below.


4. Edit the app details as required and click the next button, the settings screen will be displayed as shown below. 


5. The kiosk settings can be edited as required and by clicking the Save & exit button, the kiosk will be updated with a success toast message. 


6. When the Save & assign button is clicked, the Assign Group screen will be displayed as shown below.


 

7. Select one or more groups from the list to which the edited kiosk has to be assigned and click the Assign button.


8. The new values will be updated for the selected kiosk and displayed in the kiosk list screen.



Assign kiosk to group


A kiosk can be assigned to one/more groups using the steps given below.

 

1. From the Kiosk List view screen, click on the three vertical dots at the end of the kiosk row.

 

2. A context menu will be displayed, select the ‘Assign to group’ option.


3. Assign to group screen as shown below will be displayed.


4. Select one/more groups in the list and click the Assign button.


5. The kiosk will be assigned to the selected group(s) with a success toast message.


Delete Kiosk

An existing kiosk can be deleted using the steps given below.


1. From the Kiosk List view screen, click on the three vertical dots at the end of the kiosk row.

 

2. A context menu will be displayed, select the 'Delete' option as shown below.


 

3. A confirmation message will be displayed as shown in the screen below.



4. Type the phrase ‘delete’ in the text box and click the Continue button.


5. The selected kiosk will be deleted with a toast message.


Kiosk - Enroll device 


Devices can be enrolled to a selected kiosk from the kiosk list screen using the steps given below.

 

1. From the kiosk list view screen, click on the three vertical dots at the end of the kiosk row. 


2. A context menu will be displayed from which the 'Enroll device' option can be selected as shown below. 

 

3. Quick Enrollment screen as shown below will be displayed. 



4. A QR code will be generated and shown on the screen.


5. Factory reset your device, tap 6 times anywhere on welcome screen of device.


6. Once the QR scanner opens on the device, scan the QR Code generated on the screen.


7. The enrollment process will start in the device and will follow a sequence of steps and asks for permissions.


8. Once all the permissions are provided and enrollment process is successfully completed in the device, the device will appear under Manage – Device screen with enrolled status.


Export Kiosk Details

The available kiosk details can be exported as an Excel file by following the steps given below. 


1. Click on the Export icon on the top of the Kiosk List screen.


2. A confirmation pop up with the selected group number will be displayed as shown below.



3. Click on the Continue button. The kiosk details will be downloaded as an excel file in the local file path.


4. When the downloaded excel file is opened, the details as shown below will be available in the excel file.
