The Camera Restriction Policy in the Quantem Console allows admins to control camera access on managed kiosk devices through the Kiosk profile settings. Admins can choose to completely disable the camera, always keep it enabled, or give the user the flexibility to toggle camera access themselves. This setting is configured under the Policy Settings section within the Kiosk profile and is applied to all devices assigned to that kiosk profile or group.
Steps to Configure Camera Restriction
Step 1: Navigate to Kiosk
From the left-hand navigation, click on Kiosk. All existing kiosk profiles will be listed.
Step 2: Create or Edit a Kiosk Profile
Create New — Click Create Kiosk to start a new kiosk profile
Edit Existing — Click the three-dot menu ( ⋮ ) on an existing kiosk row and select View/Edit Details
Step 3: Whitelist Apps
Inside the kiosk profile, add and whitelist all required applications for the kiosk as needed before proceeding to settings.
Step 4: Open Kiosk Settings
Once the apps are configured, click on Settings in the top-right corner of the kiosk profile screen.
Step 5: Navigate to Policy Settings
In the Settings page, scroll down to locate the Policy Settings section.
Step 6: Configure Camera Access
Under Policy Settings, locate the Camera Access option. Select one of the three available options:
Step 7: Save the Kiosk Profile
After selecting the desired Camera Access option, click Save to apply the configuration to the kiosk profile.
Step 8: Assign the Kiosk Profile
Assign the saved kiosk profile to the target device or group:
Assign to a Device — Navigate to Manage > Device, select the device, and assign the kiosk profile
Assign to a Group — Navigate to Manage > Group, select the kiosk group, and assign the kiosk profile. All devices in the group will receive the camera restriction policy
